About SSPIL

Reliable Packaging Solutions Since 2002

Shun Shing Packaging Industries Ltd. (SSPIL) is a subsidiary of Shun Shing Group that produces Woven Polypropylene (WPP) sacks and Flexible Packaging Materials for own use and for local and multinational companies — holding almost 15% of the total cement sack market share.

The company began in 2002 with state-of-the-art Korean-technology machinery producing 2-ply PP sacks for Seven-Rings Cement, and expanded its 2-ply capacity several times. In 2018 a multipurpose unit added 1-ply AD*STAR, agro and BOPP film-printed sacks; in 2024 the flexible packaging business followed. Today, three production units at the Kaligonj, Gazipur complex deliver a total capacity of 170 million WPP sacks a year.

2002

Unit-1 — Production Begins

Initial WPP 2-ply cement sack production on state-of-the-art Korean-technology machinery, meeting the demand for Seven-Rings Cement.

2005

BMRE-1 — First Expansion

Unit-1 capacity is extended by 24 million bags per annum.

2015

Unit-2 — A Second 2-Ply Unit

A separate Unit-2 adds 34 million 2-ply bags under BMRE-2, extended again in 2023.

2018

Unit-3 — Multipurpose Plant

A multipurpose poly-woven sacks unit begins 1-ply AD*STAR, agro and BOPP production — 50 million bags plus packaging film.

A Wholly Owned Company of Shun Shing Group

Shun Shing Packaging Industries Ltd (SSPIL) is a subsidiary of Shun Shing Group that produces Woven Polypropylene (WPP) sacks and Flexible Packaging Materials for own use and other local/MNCs. The company holds almost 15% of the total market share of the cement sacks market.

The company started its initial journey with WPP sacks in the year 2002 with state-of-the-art Korean-technology machinery, producing 2-ply PP sacks to meet the demand for Seven-Rings Cement. Within a couple of years, the company expanded its 2-ply production capacity several times. Considering the demands of single-ply AD*STAR and PP woven agro bags, SSPIL installed a multipurpose poly-woven sacks unit in 2018 — whose BOPP film-printed sacks are unique and widely acceptable to MNCs and local companies.

SSPIL has three separate production units at its Kaligonj, Gazipur, Bangladesh complex with a total production capacity of 170 million WPP sacks. The company emerged as the market leader in the WPP sack business. In addition to the poly sack business, the company started production of flexible packaging materials — including food packaging, agro packaging, pharmaceuticals and toiletries — in 2024, and is gradually developing to provide quality packaging solutions to customers.

Circular-woven polypropylene bags for seeds, grains and agro inputs — coated or uncoated, printed up to six colours, in formats up to 1,300 mm long. Optional LDPE/HDPE liners are extruded in-house on blown-film machines, heat-cut and sealed for a precise fit, and finished bags are hydraulically baled for dispatch. Manufactured on PP agro bag machinery of Taiwanese technology, with capacity expanded in 2020 and again in 2025 under BMRE-4.

Our Newest Capability — Developing Every Day

In addition to the poly sack business, SSPIL started production of flexible packaging materials in 2024 — including food packaging, agro packaging, pharmaceuticals, toiletries, and drink and beverages — and is gradually developing to provide quality packaging solutions to customers. Materials are printed with up to eight colours on webs up to 1,250 mm wide, at a capacity of 100 tons per month, supported by in-house blown film, dry lamination, slitting, inspection and pouch-making capability.

Cement is dense, abrasive and moisture-sensitive — and it moves fast. Sacks must survive high-speed filling, palletising and transport through humid conditions without failure, while carrying clear brand identification.

The SSPIL Solution

Our 2-ply WPP cement sacks — the product SSPIL was founded on in 2002 for Seven-Rings Cement — combine outstanding durability and humidity resistance with up to four-colour printing. 1-ply AD*STAR laminated tubular sacks (up to six colours) and BOPP 2-ply variants, including white cement bags, extend the range. SSPIL holds almost 15% of the cement sack market.

Flexible packaging machinery from the SSPIL brochure

SSPIL began producing WPP sacks in 2002. Its manufacturing range expanded in 2018 with single-ply AD*STAR, agro and BOPP bags. Flexible packaging production followed in 2024. The January 2026 brochure reports three production units, 170 million sacks of annual capacity and flexible packaging capacity up to 100 tonnes per month.
